Brayden at 19-20 months

Wow, we have been crazy busy getting ready to and moving into the house that I missed Brayden's 19 month post!  So here is an update of the past couple of months.  I feel like Brayden has grown up so much over the past two months, doing, saying, and understanding so much more!  It is so much fun to watch him grow and learn and makes us such proud parents :)  The biggest change over the past couple of months is the expansion of Brayden's vocabulary.  He is trying to say and repeat lots of words and can often answer a question using the correct word.  I have to admit his favorite word lately is probably "treat"!  Brian and I think that Brayden definitely got our sweet tooth!!  The other day he came running out of the pantry with a bag of marshmallows saying "treat, treat, treat"!

I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking:

Yes we bought this boy a potty!  Right at about 18 months we went ahead and bought him a potty just to introduce it and have it in the bathroom for him to see.  We thought we would try it out one night before his bath just to see what happened.  Well, that first night he went potty in his potty!  Ever since we have been encouraging him to go before his nightly bath.  I would say that he goes about 6 nights a week and has gone one other time during the day.  Once we get settled in the house we are going to get serious about real potty training, hopefully before his sister gets here!

TROUBLE!!!

Yes, he is running around on top of the pool table!  He pushed his stool right up to it and climbed on!
He finally let someone take him on a tractor ride!  He loves the tractor  but was always scared whenever anyone started it.  Well Grandma gave it a try and he loved it :)

Grandma Torres came in town to visit!

Buddy still loves a wagon ride

Brayden got his first shiner!
LOVES bounce houses and trampolines!

LOVES sweet Colten and Cooper :)

Breakfast with Santa with Grandma and PaPa Barron
Still loves playing at the gym.  Several times lately this pregnant mama has had to crawl to the top of this thing to retrieve her son who would not come down!!!

Our animal lover...

Everyday gets more and more fun around here with this funny wild child running around!

Christmas Pictures 2012

We had our very talented friend Kim with modern bebe designs take our Christmas pictures again this year.  I have to admit it was a lot easier to take Brayden's picture last year when he didn't have a choice but to just sit there.  Brayden as a toddler of course does not want to sit still or look at the camera or do any pose but Kim still managed to get some great shots!  Enjoy!

Christmas card pic 2012 coming to a mailbox near you :)

My heart just melts looking at these next two pictures

Here we asked Brayden where the baby was, he'll also give the baby kisses.  SO. STINKIN. SWEEET.

Kisses for mommy, such a lover!

STUD

Oh if you could only see the mess he made with this candy cane!!!
Okay I had to do another comparison with last year, simply amazing how much this boy has grown up in one short year.

Next year we'll have a sweet new addition, so exciting!

Visit with Santa, another traumatic experience!

We took Brayden to breakfast with Santa again this year hoping that Brayden would be a bigger fan.  We talked Santa up, practiced our Ho Ho Ho's, and looked at lots of pictures and fake Santas.  Well our visit didn't go any better this year in fact it went a lot worse, poor thing was hysterical (which was I admit, pretty hysterical!).   I love comparing pictures of last year to this year because Brayden has changed so much!  Enjoy!

Pregnancy Update 26 weeks

Brian said the other day that baby Girl was going to be sad when she reads these posts one day and she barely gets mentioned!  So I thought I would dedicate a short post just to her!
A couple of weeks ago at my 24 week appointment our doctor said I was "measuring small" (I was measuring 22 weeks when I should have been measuring 24).  Generally after 20 weeks you are not scheduled for any more ultrasounds unless there is something wrong or the doctor has some concern.  So, you can probably imagine our anxiety as the doctor recommended another ultrasound for 26 weeks.  We spent the next 2 weeks worrying and reading the slew of scary information online as to why baby girl wasn't growing and what could possibly cause me to be measuring small.  Well our big appointment came on Monday and our ultrasound could not have gone any better-PHEW!!!  Baby girl looks great and is weighing in at almost 2 pounds (1 lb 13 oz).  The ultrasound tech said he didn't see anything of concern and that everything looks good.  It was so interesting seeing how much she had grown since our last ultrasound 6 weeks ago.  Now I see why they do the big anatomy scan at 20 weeks because by this time she is already so crammed in there it is hard to see very much! So this ultrasound ended up being just a bonus look at our sweet baby girl again.  It's hard to believe we have only 14 weeks (or hopefully less) until we get to see her beautiful face in person!!!!! :)
Other than that little scare, everything is going great with this pregnancy and I am feeling good.  I have a lot more energy in the afternoons and haven't even been taking naps!  I am going to enjoy that for now because I know the third trimester is right around the corner and my energy will soon be drained once again!!!  Oh and my swollen ankles have not made their appearance yet either, hopefully that was a one time thing!
I'll leave you with the ultrasound pic from Monday:

A very pregnant,

Thanksgiving 2012

I know I am late but I've had some issues with blogger I had to get worked out!
We have SO MUCH to be thankful this year and I am just overwhelmed by all of our blessings.  We spent Thanksgiving this year with family at Brian's parents house.  We had way too much delicious food and got to spend lots of time with family. It was such a gorgeous day and we were able to spend most of it outside which of course Brayden loved. I didn't get to take near as many pictures as I would have liked but here are a few from Thanksgiving this year:

Started out the day with the Macys Thanksgiving parade which Brayden was really into thanks to all of the music

Brayden LOVED playing with cousin Kyle and wanted to do everything he did.   Kyle was so sweet and good with Brayden :)
Kyle even gave Brayden a real golf club!
We did manage to get one of the three of us :)
It's always great seeing Great Mamer and PaPa Barron, they are so funny and Brayden loved them both!
And here is buddy with his Thanksgiving feast

Bring on Christmas!!!!!!!!!!
